In the IBC customer portal you can view the status of all invoices around the clock.
As an alternative to the normal invoice, we offer direct debit (LSV and Debit Direct) or e-invoice. You can find an overview of all payment options here
The consumption shown on the invoice on account is calculated based on the actual consumption in the same period of the previous year. This means that consumption in the previous year was higher or lower than in the last invoice.
The information can be easily viewed in the IBC customer portal . There you have access to your invoices and can see the consumption history.
Energy and grid usage are shown separately. The energy price includes the costs for energy generation in the power plants and is shown in kilowatt hours (kWh). Grid usage compensates for the transport of energy via the grid. Grid usage is billed with various price components.
Fees are levied by the federal government and the municipality. The federal grid surcharge is used to promote renewable energies. Swissgrid's system services (SDL) ensure the operation of the Swiss transmission network in the international network. The public fee levied by the municipalities is a concession fee for the use of public land for the network infrastructure.
The performance charge is a price component of network usage. For electricity, this is charged from a consumption of 50,000 kWh per year and for gas from a consumption of 200,000 kWh per year. The performance charge is a source-related price component. The higher the power consumed, the higher the demands on the network and the higher the network costs.
You can change the product at the next regular meter reading. It is best to inform us of your product change directly from the customer portal. We would also be happy to advise you personally.
We publish such information here. The information is also published in the public map of Chur (GIS).
The water, gas and heat meters transmit the data via cable to the smart meter. The smart meter stores the data from these meters and then sends it with its own consumption data (electricity) either via the power grid (Powerline Communication, or PLC for short) or mobile communications to IBC.
Faster and more efficient reading of electricity, water, gas or heat consumption than with conventional meters.
In the future, customers will be able to view their current consumption data online and thus use energy more consciously and save costs.
The framework conditions for a liberalized electricity market are met
We will inform you in writing around 14 days before the meter is replaced. In most cases, you do not need to be present during the replacement. The power supply will be interrupted for five to ten minutes.
A ZEV shares a single connection to the public power grid.
Objects adjacent to plots may be combined to form a ZEV. All but one grid connection must be removed.
The installed output of the photovoltaic system (kWp DC output) is at least 10% of the installed connection output of the ZEV to the power grid.
The supply between the participants is via private lines, no use of the public grid.
The solar power must be produced on the same or an adjacent plot and must be located behind the same grid connection point.
A ZEV always starts at the beginning of each month.
The formation of a ZEV must be requested from the grid operator at least three months in advance.
A ZEV is a legally binding association of several parties (property owners, condominium owners, tenants) of one or more buildings that jointly consume solar power and grid power. This solar power must be produced on the same or an adjacent property.
After registering an association for self-consumption (ZEV), the community only receives a single bill from the electricity supplier. How the costs are allocated between the parties is entirely up to the ZEV. The IBC offers flexible billing services for ZEV's.
